Deconstructed Sushi

I’m not sure that this is something that really needs a recipe… more just the idea. Anyway, I’m really into it. Basically it’s anything you’d enjoy in sushi put on top of a bowl of sushi rice with pickled ginger, sliced seaweed sheets and soy sauce. It’s a good, low hassle, summer dinner.

I like:

  • Tuna (mixed with Japanese mayonnaise)
  • Chilli-fried tofu
  • Thinly sliced carrot and cucumber

A po-mo meal! I love it! Do you have plans to deconstruct any other foods? A pizza salad perhaps?
