Too spicy?

As you might have guessed, I cook a lot of food. Consequently, I have an ever expanding collection of spices, herbs and cooking paraphernalia. Once every couple of months I find myself in deep conversation with someone about how to handle the enormous mess that is my/their spice collection. The other day I found this, and I’m a little bit more excited than I probably should be:


Now, if you’re similarly a little bit too excited by this vision of kitchen organisation it will blow your mind when I tell you you can get 56 of these for $30.

    I saw these on etsy the other day (after I read this). I wonder if a box of these would fit upright in my tiny (for me) spice cupboard.
    Something I always wondered at domestic kitchen design. The spice cupboards (at least, that’s what I assume they are for) are often above or beside the stove. That can’t be good! It heats up so much! I might have to revise my spice situation greatly by the looks of things.

    I like your idea of a wide—but shallow—draw to store all our spices in. I think we’ll need a lot more spice to warrant it… I sense some spice shopping coming on. And I (unlike ‘Storage Saph’—hehe!) would definitely like some of these. :-)
